Starting at 1PM, President Csaba K?r?si will participate in a meeting of the Ground of Friends of Children and the Sustainable Development Goals at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵICEF House.
As we¡¯ve been told many times ¨C the Sustainable Development Goals are off track.
The President will tell the Group today that we are failing the next generation.
About three-quarters of child-related SDG indicators either have insufficient data or show insufficient progress to meet the targets by 2030.
The President will point to the SDG Summit and the Summit of the Future, as well as Our Common Agenda.
And ask ¨C how we can better advocate for a paradigm shift at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ, so children are seen as individual rights holders, and not passive observers of reality.
The President¡¯s full remarks will be shared after delivery.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The General Assembly this morning took action on reports of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee ¨C or the Fourth Committee.
The Committee had held 26 formal meetings during the 77th session.
During the course, it adopted 34 resolutions and three draft decisions.
Member States today will be taking action on many of these.
INTERNAL DISPLACEMENT
This afternoon, the General Assembly was expected to discuss internal displacement in an informal plenary in the Trusteeship.
That plenary has to be rescheduled because Assistant Secretary-General Robert Piper, who was due to brief in his capacity as Special Adviser of the Secretary-General on Solutions to Internal Displacement, could not be here.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE
Today is Universal Health Coverage Day.
On the occasion, the President that the COVID-19 pandemic is reversing years of progress towards ¡°health for all¡±. But the pandemic is also transforming how we think about health. We must seize the opportunity of next year¡¯s Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ high-level meeting to get back on track to achieve universal health coverage by 2030.
As you know, there will be a high-level meeting on Universal Health Coverage during September 2023.
That high-level meeting will have a political declaration.
I wanted to remind you that President Korosi has appointed two co-facilitators to lead the process on that declaration.
Ambassador Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, the Permanent Representative of Guyana, and Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse, the Permanent Representative of Thailand.
The President has asked that the consultations that they hold should be based on scientific evidence and data.
The President has strongly encouraged Member States to consider, during their consultation, all that science can offer to build a shared knowledge base and bring a common understanding.

BILATERALS
And turning to bilaterals.
President K?r?si will today meet with the Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority, Mr. Michael W. Lodge.
QUESTIONS
The Spokesperson was asked about the Credentials Committee. The Spokesperson said that she doesn¡¯t know when the Committee is meeting, but so far, the report has not yet been submitted and the General Assembly meeting to take action hasn¡¯t been scheduled.
The Spokesperson was asked when the Second Committee would meet? At 3PM on Wednesday, 15 December, the General Assembly will hear reports of the Second Committee ¨C which deals with economic and financial issues.
