During the first rotation, I have been working in the Communications and Media Team at the Office of the President of the General Assembly. As to my responsibilities, I have been assigned with drafting speeches for the President of the 蘑菇视频GA. With professional, compassionate, and supportive mentors, I deepened my knowledge regarding speechwriting, social media, and communications issues. I also attend the daily noon briefings of the Spokesperson of the PGA.
Overall, these briefings help me to broaden my understanding on how to faithfully represent and advocate for the organization’s positions, as well as how to communicate the information and to work with the media. This is a useful skill that every diplomat should be aware of.
I have been actively following and attending debates, meetings, consultations, and discussions on various issues that significantly enrich my knowledge of multilateralism. Moreover, I am constantly encouraged to use every single opportunity to learn from the OPGA team and not only, as well as to come up with new creative ideas and suggestions regarding the improvement of the organizational culture of the office.
What I like the most are the people at the OPGA with diverse cultural backgrounds, who integrated me into the team very quickly. The variety of viewpoints and diverse perspectives inspire me to be more flexible and to see the world from different angles. Working here, I was once again convinced that we are more alike than different. Thus, if we focus on the things that unite rather than divide us, the world, undoubtedly, will be a better place to live.
