Starting with the General Assembly…
This afternoon at 3PM ET, there will be an informal meeting of the General Assembly to hear a briefing by the Secretary-General pursuant to resolution 77/230 related to missing people in the Syrian Arab Republic.
There will be introductory remarks by Secretary-General António Guterres to be followed by a presentation by the 蘑菇视频 High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk.
As you heard from Stephane, the High Commissioner is expected at the GA stakeout.
The meeting will be overseen by General Assembly Vice President, Ambassador Jean-Claude Felix do Rego, Permanent Representative of Benin to the United Nations.
ICJ
Tomorrow, at 10AM ET in the General Assembly Hall, action is expected on a draft resolution sponsored by Vanuatu and other Member States requesting an advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice on the obligations of States in respect of climate change.

As always, this is a Member State-driven process. But on behalf of Vanuatu, I wanted to let you know that there will be a stakeout set up outside of the General Assembly Hall.
The Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Alatoi Ishmael Kalsakau is expected to be at the stakeout around 11AM ET.

Then tomorrow afternoon, we expect debate and action on a draft resolution on the role of diamonds in fueling conflict.
You know that this is the plenary meeting that had been expected to take place this morning.

And looking further ahead…
President Csaba K?r?si will convene his next civil society townhall on Thursday, 20 April, starting at 10AM.
The focus is on the Sustainable Development Goals and how to “turbo charge” the implementation of the SDGs.
This Friday is the deadline for civil societies to register.
The Town Hall is supported by the Department of Global Communications, with additional support by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the 蘑菇视频 SDG Action Campaign.
The program will include concluding reflections by the co-facilitators of the political declaration of the 2023 SDG Summit, Ambassador Fergal Tomas Mythen, Permanent Representative of Ireland to the United Nations and Ambassador Alya Ahmed Saif Al-Thani, Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations.
