On?Wednesday,?17?April?2024, the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis, met?H.E. Mr. Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, on the sidelines of the Sustainability Week and ahead of the General Assembly Informal Dialogue on Building Global Resilience and Promoting Sustainable Development through Infrastructure Connectivity, to be held on Thursday, 18 April 2024.
They discussed the importance of investing in infrastructure to accelerate SDGs implementation and create opportunities for development. Among others, the President of Poland reaffirmed his country’s commitment to champion infrastructure connectivity for sustainable development.
The President of the General Assembly commended Poland’s leadership and engagement to finding multilateral solutions to global challenges, as well as Poland’s generous assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
