The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis, met on Monday, 15 July 2024, with H.E. Dr. Fadli Zon, Chair of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia.
The President of the General Assembly and the Chair of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia discussed the question of Palestine, including within the resumed tenth emergency special session, as well as the recent Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA pledging conference.
They further exchanged views on upcoming important Summits during the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵGA high-level week in September 2024 and the significance of bridging the digital divides.
The President of the General Assembly appreciated the work of the Chair of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation in advancing parliament diplomacy to strengthen multilateralism and commended Indonesia¡¯s commitment to the work of the United Nations.
