 <\/p>\n

Ladies and Gentlemen,<\/em>
Thank you very much to all those who contributed to this event\u2019s resounding success, most particularly the Prime Ministers of Barbados and the Republic of Uganda, the distinguished Secretary General, President of the Economic and Social Council, and the administrator of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵDP Administrator and all panelists and speakers who participated in the Fireside Chat and deliberations.<\/p>\n

Today’s conversations underscored a crucial point: alleviating unsustainable debt is vital to advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n

This is particularly urgent for countries in special situations\u2014such as the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries, and Small Island Developing States. But it also bears important implications for Middle Income Countries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I join the call for international collaboration to build a development-oriented debt architecture; an architecture that is more just and equitable, and affords vulnerable developing countries and affected communities the fiscal space to invest in their country\u2019s growth and sustainable development.<\/p>\n
