The President of the General Assembly H.E. Philémon Yang met with H.E. Micheál Martin TD, Tánaiste?and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defense of Ireland on 25 September 2024.
The President of the General Assembly and the Tánaiste discussed the importance of the Pact for the Future, and the need for dialogue and diplomacy to achieve peace, including in Ukraine and the Middle East.
They further exchanged views on the importance of nuclear disarmament and the role that small states have at the United Nations.
