Readout of the President of the General Assembly¡¯s meeting with H.E. Ms. Imelde Sabushimike, Minister of National Solidarity, Social Affairs, Human Rights and Gender of Burundi

The President of the General Assembly H. E. Mr. Philemon Yang met with H.E. Ms. Imelde Sabushimike, Minister of National Solidarity, Social Affairs, Human Rights and Gender of Burundi, on 18 March 2025.

The President and the Minister discussed Burundi¡¯s efforts in the promotion and protection of human rights, in particular women¡¯s rights and rights of Indigenous Peoples.?They?also?discussed Burundi¡¯s vision for development entitled: ¡°Burundi, an emerging country by 2040 and a developed country by 2060¡±.
