Commemorative meeting of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General Assembly to mark International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination
What: The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Philemon Yang, will convene a plenary meeting of the General Assembly on Friday 21 March 2025 at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Headquarters in New York to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

As the first of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s core international human rights treaties, ICERD set the stage for future human rights advancements. This 60th anniversary of ICERD calls for reflection on progress made against racial discrimination while highlighting ongoing challenges.
