Your Excellencies,
Dear Colleagues,
We have come to the end of our second Gender Advisory Board Meeting.
My sincere thanks to you all for sharing your recommendations and insights, which made for a productive interactive exchange.
Thank you to Antonia Kirkland for helping to set the scene for our discussion today.
I have taken note of your advice on how we can promote multilateral cooperation to:
-?????Address the growing influence of technology in fueling workplace harassment,
-?????Engage with the private sector to create safe workplaces, and
-?????Strengthen partnerships with civil society to raise awareness and support survivors.
Your insights will help to position these messages within the General Assembly¡¯s work.
They will also help to shape the upcoming seminar for Permanent Missions on sexual harassment and the link to technology-facilitated harassment and violence, on 28 May.
I look forward to your active engagement at the seminar.
I ask for your support in sharing the information among members of your respective regional groups, and encouraging your own staff to participate in the seminar.
