The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Philemon Yang, met with H.E. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, on 21 July 2025.

The President of the General Assembly and the Deputy Prime Minister had a productive discussion on the importance of multilateralism amid rising global political tensions.

The President of the General Assembly welcomed the lasting ceasefire between Pakistan and India, and commended the role of Pakistan towards combatting Islamophobia.

The President of the General Assembly and the Prime Minister also discussed the importance of reforming the Security Council as well as implementing Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵGA resolutions on peace?and?security.
