Philemon Yang met with the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union, Ms. Doreen Bogdan-Martin, on March 13, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"elementtoproof\" style=\"background: white\">\n<p class=\"elementtoproof\" style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;color: black\">The President of the General Assembly and the Secretary-General discussed the importance of the work of United Nations specialized agencies, including the International Telecommunication Union, to ensure that critical international cooperation is sustained for the well-being of all people, not least in the digital field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"elementtoproof\" style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;color: black\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"elementtoproof\" style=\"background: white\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;color: black\">They also discussed the evolving digital and communication technology landscape, including Artificial Intelligence, and the importance of mitigating risks without undermining innovation.
