Philemon Yang, will convene a plenary meeting of the General Assembly on Friday 21 March 2025 at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Headquarters in New York to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s observance is the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/en\/treaty-bodies\/cerd\/60th-anniversary-international-convention-elimination-all-forms-racial-discrimination\">60th anniversary of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms Racial of Discrimination (ICERD)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As the first of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ&#8217;s core international human rights treaties, ICERD set the stage for future human rights advancements.
