Excellences,<\/p>\n

Mesdames et Messieurs,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nous nous r\u00e9unissons aujourd\u2019hui pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer la Journ\u00e9e de la langue fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nous honorons son riche h\u00e9ritage et r\u00e9affirmons notre engagement en faveur de la diversit\u00e9 culturelle et linguistique.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Avec plus de 320 millions de locuteurs sur cinq continents, la langue fran\u00e7aise a un statut officiel dans 29 pays, y compris le mien, le Cameroun.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cela t\u00e9moigne de son rayonnement et de son importance \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

En effet, l\u2019Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, qui c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00e9galement son anniversaire en ce 20 mars, rassemble 93 \u00c9tats et gouvernements membres.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Elle \u0153uvre sans rel\u00e2che \u00e0 la promotion de la langue fran\u00e7aise et au renforcement de la coop\u00e9ration entre les nations francophones.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Au sein des Nations Unies, le fran\u00e7ais est l\u2019une des six langues officielles de notre organisation et l\u2019une des deux langues de travail du Secr\u00e9tariat.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Il est au c\u0153ur de nos d\u00e9lib\u00e9rations, de nos r\u00e9solutions et de nos documents officiels\u2014un t\u00e9moignage de son r\u00f4le historique en tant que langue de la diplomatie.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

De plus, le fran\u00e7ais a \u00e9t\u00e9 la langue maternelle de certains des penseurs, \u00e9crivains, philosophes et hommes et femmes politiques les plus influents du monde\u2014de Descartes \u00e0 Voltaire, de Rousseau \u00e0 Camus, Simone de Beauvoir, Simone Veil, Cheickh Anta Diop et beaucoup d\u2019autres dans les quatre coins du monde.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

C\u2019est une langue de l\u2019art, de la musique, de la gastronomie.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cette langue riche et vibrante a profond\u00e9ment fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 les paysages sociaux, intellectuels et culturels non seulement du monde francophone, mais de toute l\u2019humanit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

En c\u00e9l\u00e9brant la Journ\u00e9e de la langue fran\u00e7aise, nous r\u00e9affirmons le r\u00f4le essentiel du multilinguisme dans le renforcement du dialogue, de la coop\u00e9ration et du respect mutuel entre les nations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

D\u00e9ployons nos efforts et nos ressources pour un rayonnement plus croissant du fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Continuons \u00e0 embrasser la diversit\u00e9 linguistique comme une source d\u2019unit\u00e9, afin que chaque voix ait sa place dans notre conversation mondiale commune.<\/p>\n
