on the theme: Promoting women\u2019s economic empowerment by supporting safe\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

workplaces including addressing technology facilitated harassment and violence<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear Colleagues,<\/p>\n

We have come to the end of our second Gender Advisory Board Meeting.<\/p>\n

My sincere thanks to you all for sharing your recommendations and insights, which made for a productive interactive exchange.<\/p>\n

Thank you to Antonia Kirkland for helping to set the scene for our discussion today.<\/p>\n

I have taken note of your advice on how we can promote multilateral cooperation to:<\/p>\n

-\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Address the growing influence of technology in fueling workplace harassment,<\/p>\n

-\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Engage with the private sector to create safe workplaces, and<\/p>\n

-\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Strengthen partnerships with civil society to raise awareness and support survivors.<\/p>\n

Your insights will help to position these messages within the General Assembly\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

They will also help to shape the upcoming seminar for Permanent Missions on sexual harassment and the link to technology-facilitated harassment and violence, on 28 May.<\/p>\n

I look forward to your active engagement at the seminar.<\/p>\n

I ask for your support in sharing the information among members of your respective regional groups, and encouraging your own staff to participate in the seminar.<\/p>\n
