The President of the General Assembly and the incoming President of the Security Council discussed the programme of work for the United Kingdom¡¯s Presidency of the United Nations Security Council, which will commence on 1 February 2026, including international peace and security developments. They further discussed the?process for the selection of the next Secretary-General of the United Nations.
