The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, met with H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, Foreign Minister of the People¡¯s Republic of China during her visit to China.
The President of the General Assembly and the Foreign Minister discussed the need to defend the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Charter and the international order in challenging times.
The President of the General Assembly commended China’s steadfast commitment to the multilateral system with the United Nations at its centre.
They also exchanged views on two key processes to reinvigorate multilateralism and strengthen the United Nations and its three pillars: the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ80 reform initiative and the selection and appointment process of the next Secretary-General.
