The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, met with H.E. Ms. Francia Helena M¨¢rquez Mina, Vice-President of the Republic of Colombia, on 21 May 2026.
The President of the General Assembly and the Vice-President of Colombia discussed the importance of upholding the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Charter, inclusive dialogue, understanding and advancing equality and justice worldwide, including with respect to the implementation of the International Decade for People of African Descent.
The President of the General Assembly commended Colombia¡¯s commitment to the United Nations and wished Colombia a successful Presidency of the United Nations Security Council in June 2026.
