The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, met with?H.E.?Mr. Zenon Ngay Mukongo, Permanent Representative of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the United Nations?in his capacity as?the?incoming President of the United Nations Security Council for the month of July on 24 June 2026.
The President of the General Assembly and the incoming President of the Security Council discussed the programme of work for the Democratic Republic of the Congo¡¯s Presidency of the United Nations Security Council, which will begin on 1 July 2026. They also discussed the importance of strengthening the cooperation between the Security Council and the General Assembly, including in the context of the selection and appointment process of the next Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Secretary General.
