Ms. Carla Arrieta de Armas (Cuba) is a Diplomatic Attach¨¦ in the Multilateral Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba. For the past year, she has served in the Economic Affairs Group, Directorate of International Organizations, where she supports negotiations on financing for development, trade, and sovereign debt issues, and contributes to Cuba¡¯s positions in multilateral forums. Coming from a Small Island Developing State, she is engaged in sharing the strategies Cuba develops to address particular challenges, while highlighting the fundamental role of women in shaping national policies and foreign policy.
Carla graduated in December 2024 with a Bachelor¡¯s degree in International Relations from the Higher Institute of International Relations in Havana, complemented by postgraduate studies on geopolitics. She has participated in specialized training with Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµITAR and MGIMO on multilateral negotiation techniques and international environmental law. Her professional interests include sustainable development, international cooperation, and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda with the support of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ agencies, funds, and programmes in Cuba. She is preparing to pursue a Master¡¯s degree in Development Project Management
