For the past year, she has served in the Economic Affairs Group, Directorate of International Organizations, where she supports negotiations on financing for development, trade, and sovereign debt issues, and contributes to Cuba\u2019s positions in multilateral forums. Coming from a Small Island Developing State, she is engaged in sharing the strategies Cuba develops to address particular challenges, while highlighting the fundamental role of women in shaping national policies and foreign policy.<\/p>\n<p>Carla graduated in December 2024 with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in International Relations from the Higher Institute of International Relations in Havana, complemented by postgraduate studies on geopolitics. She has participated in specialized training with Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵITAR and MGIMO on multilateral negotiation techniques and international environmental law. Her professional interests include sustainable development, international cooperation, and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda with the support of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ agencies, funds, and programmes in Cuba.
