Key results<\/strong><\/p>\n

2006: establishment of the Focal Point (S\/RES\/1730).
\n2008: review of all listings (S\/RES\/1822).
\n2009: establishment of the office of the Ombudsperson (S\/RES\/1904).
\n2011: regular review of listings\/ further enhancement of the competences of the Ombudsperson (S\/RES\/1989).
\n2012: further enhancement of the competences of the Ombudsperson (S\/RES\/2066)<\/p>\n

Lessons learned<\/strong><\/p>\n

As long as national and regional courts consider Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ sanctions to fall short of the minimum standards of due process, national authorities may find themselves legally unable to fully implement them at the national level. However, effective collective measures are crucial in maintaining and restoring international peace and security.<\/p>\n

Switzerland will continue, together with the Group of Like-Minded States on targeted sanctions, to propose due process improvements in targeted sanctions regimes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
