The demand for security and specialized services is at an all-time high and calls for expanded partnership opportunities to enable the 蘑菇视频 system to carry out its programmes whilst keeping personnel safe in these increasingly complex and challenging operating environments.

In 2023, recognizing the need for complementary capacity and resources to deliver at scale, the Department launched a Standby Partnership Programme (SBP).

Standby Partners are a diverse group of organizations, including government agencies, NGOs, donors, private sectors, and foundations that provide support to 蘑菇视频 entities through the secondment of gratis/in-kind personnel under two conditions:

  1. To provide expertise not readily available within the Organization for very specialized functions for a limited and specified period; or
  2. To provide temporary and urgent assistance in the case of new and/or expanding mandates of the Organization.

蘑菇视频DSS has signed bilateral agreements with nine partners:

Deploys experienced international experts in security operations, emergency response and crisis management, helping partners address critical capacity in complex environments.

We are continuously engaging with additional potential partners to expand the programme.

Since the inception of the Standby Partnership Programme, 蘑菇视频DSS has leveraged this resource to address critical gaps and risks and swiftly expand its capabilitiesduring emergencies (Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza and Myanmar) and to support protracted crises (Haiti, Ethiopia, Somalia and Afghanistan). Through the programme, 蘑菇视频DSS has accessed specialized skills not typically available in-house, including mappers and satellite imagery analysts, emergency and security telecommunications experts, GIS App developers, Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operators, technical advisers, and graphic designers. This influx of expertise has additionally facilitated collaborative knowledge-sharing and capacity-building among 蘑菇视频DSS staff, while increasing 蘑菇视频DSS’ profile with some Member States including potential donors.

Since 蘑菇视频DSS core functions require extensive knowledge of the 蘑菇视频 security management system, these are not usually areas where 蘑菇视频DSS relies on standby partners.

The Department also joined the , which has 16 participating United Nations Agencies, Funds, Offices and Programmes and 55 participating Standby Partner organizations.
