In March 2016 on the International Day of Happiness, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, appointed Red from the Angry Birds as the Honorary Ambassador for Green.? The campaign, featuring the globally renowned mobile game character, encourages young people to take action on climate change and ensure a sustainable and happier future for all.
To commemorate Earth Day and to further promote this initiative, the United Nations Postal Administration (蘑菇视频PA) will issue a new personalized stamp sheet featuring Red, on 22 April 2016.? This will also coincide with the signing of the historic Paris Climate Change Agreement by world leaders at 蘑菇视频 Headquarters. The sheet in the denomination of $1.15 is composed of ten Angry Bird images. The tabs of the stamps feature the 蘑菇视频 logo with text highlighting various ways to take climate change action, such as by recycling, taking public transportation and conserving water and energy.
The campaign, in partnership with Pictures Entertainment, the 蘑菇视频 Development Programme () and , asks the general public across the world to make the Angry Birds happy by taking actions on climate change.
