June 2016 – South Centre, India Mission, RIS, and Asia Foundation co-hosted a special event on South-South Cooperation:
In commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration on the Right to Development and held on the side-lines of the 32nd Session of the Human Rights Council, a Dialogue on South-South Cooperation was held in the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ in Geneva on 27 June 2016. This Dialogue was aimed at increasing awareness among delegations of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Member States, experts, academia and civil society of the role of South-South Cooperation in advancing the Right to Development,. A particular focus was given to the Indian experience with regards to development cooperation as the event also marked the launch of a new book entitled India’s Approach to Development Cooperation, edited by Sachin Chaturvedi and Anthea Mulakala.
