Prime Minister Erna Solberg and Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres quite literally kicked off the Nobel Peace Center’s new exhibition about the Sustainable Development Goals in Oslo.
The “Take the Ball – Hit the Goals” exhibition will be on display in the entrance hall of the Nobel Peace Center from June 19th until August 20th, and is free of charge.
Visitors are invited to kick a goal with a soccer ball, which both the Prime Minister and Secretary-General tried.
“I trust the world to be better at reaching the sustainable development goals than I am at playing soccer,” the 蘑菇视频 Secretary-General said.
By kicking a goal and posting photos on their social media channels with the hashtag #TaketheBall, visitors can help the 蘑菇视频 raise awareness of the SDGs and call for action to achieve the SDGs by 2030.
“We are pleased to present the SDG’s here at the Nobel Peace Center. They are crucial to achieve peace, and they shed light on the urgency to work long-term in order to prevent conflict,” Director Liv T?rres said at the opening.
Director T?rres said that the 100,000 guests visiting the Nobel Peace Center this summer would become spokespersons for a better world.
An SDG soccer ball, signed by the Prime Minister and the Secretary-General, will be on display in the exhibition.
While neither the Secretary-General nor the Prime Minister kicked a goal, both aware that reaching the global goals will take time and effort from the global community.
