While the world is in the grips of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, we must not lose sight of the climate crisis. As the negative consequences of climate change become more visible and threaten our livelihoods each passing year, the world¡¯s young people are feeling the urgency of this crisis.

From school strikes to demonstrations, and to innovation, young people¡¯s mobilization all around the world shows the power they possess to help tackle the climate emergency.

Building on this momentum, the Secretary-General will launch his Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change on 27 July to amplify youth voices and to engage young people in an open and transparent dialogue as the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ gears up to raise ambition and accelerate action to address the climate crisis.
