For the past four decades, the Declaration has provided a framework for advancing inclusive, sustainable, and participatory development at all levels, while shaping related laws and policies.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Secretary-General will convene a high-level meeting on climate\u00a0action \u202fand\u202fthe just transition<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0focused on accelerating a just and orderly energy transition to renewables; mobilizing and scaling up affordable finance and investments for developing countries; and delivering adaptation and resilience support in an era of climate overshoot.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> The High-Level Meeting on Sea-Level Rise will\u00a0convene\u00a0global leaders, experts, and\u00a0<\/span>other<\/span>\u00a0stakeholders to address the urgent and escalating threat of rising sea levels. Participants will work towards developing comprehensive solutions and actionable commitments to combat sea-level rise, ensuring a resilient and sustainable future\u00a0including for\u00a0small island developing states and low-lying coastal areas.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> \u202f<\/span>Guided by the theme, \u201cFostering a multilateral and intergenerational approach to prevent, prepare for and respond to pandemics and public health emergencies, through the principles of equity and solidarity,\u201d the President of the\u00a0Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ General\u00a0Assembly will convene a one-day meeting aimed at mobilizing political will at the national, regional and international levels for pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> Adopted\u00a0<\/span>at the 2001 World Conference Against Racism,\u00a0t<\/span>he\u00a0<\/span>Durban Declaration and Programme of Action<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is a global blueprint for racial justice and equality.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Ma<\/span>rking the 25th anniversary, this meeting serves as an opportunity to accelerate collective efforts to combat racism, racial discrimination,\u00a0xenophobia\u00a0and related intolerance.\u00a0\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
