\nForum to Examine Early Efforts to Implement Sustainable Development Agenda<\/strong>

For the first time since last year\u2019s historic adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, countries will meet in New York at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Headquarters from 11-20 July at the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, to review progress made in the achievement of the Goals.<\/p>\n

The 2016 High-level Political Forum, with the theme \u201cEnsuring that no one is left behind,\u201d will see 22 countries \u2014 developed and developing\u2014 presenting an overview of their plans to achieve the Goals during the ministerial segment on 18-20 July. The Forum is expected to provide political leadership, guidance and recommendations on the Agenda\u2019s implementation and follow-up, as well as address new and emerging issues.<\/p>\n
