LETTER DATED 9 NOVEMBER 1999 FROM THE SECRETARY-GENERAL

ADDRESSED TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITY CO蘑菇视频CIL

I have the honour to refer to the command of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (蘑菇视频IFIL).

Following the usual consultations, it is my intention to appoint Major General Seth Kofi Obeng of Ghana to the post of Force Commander of 蘑菇视频IFIL.  He will replace Major General Jioje Konousi Konrote of Fiji, who completed his tour of duty on 30 September 1999.

I should be grateful if you would bring this matter to the attention of the members of the Security Council.
