192. As of 29 February 1995, there were 7,816 refugees in Egypt, the majority of whom were Somalis and Sudanese, with an additional group of 186 stateless persons and 16 Bidoons (ex-Kuwait).  The Palestinians expelled from the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya in late 1995 and stranded at Salloum on the border with Egypt have been assisted by Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµHCR.  There are currently 179 persons living under difficult conditions in the border area.  Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµHCR has been liaising closely with all parties concerned to address the situation to determine an appropriate course of action.
