Quarterly Donor Update: April 12, 2005

蘑菇视频ICEF is appealing for the urgent funding of US$8.5 million to take immediate action for immunization, health services, education, safe water supplies, and training of teachers.  Our response to the issues of chronic child malnutrition, hampered access to education, long-term psychological trauma among children due to violence and conflict are essential and most urgent.

As part of the 2005 Consolidated Appeal for OPT, we requested US$12.7 million to provide humanitarian relief to the affected children and women in the territory.  To date, only 13 per cent of the CAP requirements have been met.  蘑菇视频ICEF therefore appeals for your kind consideration for the further contribution.

Quarterly Donor Update: November 10, 2004

The humantiarian situation in the West Bank and Gaza continues deteriorate due to ongoing violence and restrictions on movement, with detrimental consequencies on children. Children are increasingly vulnerable to chronic malnutrition, stunting, micro-nutrient deficiencies and diarrhoeal diseases. Their school days are being lost/disrupted. Their psychosocial health has seriously weakend.

Through its main office in Jerusalem and five zonal offices, and in coordination with other local and international aid actors, 蘑菇视频ICEF continues to respond to the humanitarian needs of the most vulnerable children and women in the territories. However, limited funding has strained 蘑菇视频ICEF's ability to undertake all the planned interventions. Of the US$ 13.8 million requested as part of the 蘑菇视频 Consolidated Appeal for OPT for 2004, 蘑菇视频ICEF has only received some US$ 4 million, covering less than 30% of the overall resource requirements. US$ 1.69 million are urgently needed to undertake priority interventions.
