PRESS RELEASE
Statement by Humanitarian for Development and Humanitarian Activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory,
Mr. Robert Piper, on a stone-throwing attack on a Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ vehicle in East Jerusalem
Jerusalem, 9 October 2015
“I condemn yesterday evening’s stone-throwing attack on a clearly marked United Nations (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ) vehicle traveling on Route 50 in East Jerusalem, which seriously injured a senior Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ official. I join the rest of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ family in wishing our colleague a speedy recovery.
This unacceptable violence will not deter the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ in its commitment to delivering assistance to those in need and improving people’s lives in the occupied Palestinian territory, as well as restoring the hope for a just and negotiated two-state solution.”
