India gives $1 million to feed children in Gaza

The Indian government has given US$ 1 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµRWA) to provide daily food supplements to thousands of refugee schoolchildren in the Gaza Strip.
The Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, E Ahamed, handed over a cheque to Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµRWA Commissioner-General Filippo Grandi in Ramallah today.
The minister met Mr Grandi to deliver the donation and discuss future cooperation with the Agency. Mr Ahamed assured Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµRWA of the Government of India's continued support in its operations and in its efforts to alleviate the sufferings of Palestine refugees.
