Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA Commissioner-General Pierre Krähenbühl paid his first visit to Syria on Wednesday (14 May) to see for himself the extreme hardship that Palestine refugees in Syria are facing as a result of the ongoing armed conflict. During his time in Damascus, the Commissioner-General visited displaced Palestine refugees, now housed in temporary shelters at two Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA schools in Jaramana camp. Listening to stories of tragedy and hardship told by the refugees, Mr. Krähenbühl pledged that Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA would continue to make every effort to support and assist Palestine refugees in this time of acute vulnerability.
