As the holy month of Ramadan begins, ¡°Hand in Hand with Palestine Refugees¡± calls on Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA¡¯s supporters worldwide to give?,?,??(Sharia compliant)?donations to?support Palestine Refugee families across the region.
The?campaign?places Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA staff, themselves, for most, Palestine?Refugees, at the?center?of the story,?showing how?they work?every day within their own communities – in classrooms, health centres,?shelters,?and homes. In the face?of immense humanitarian?needs,?¡°Hand in Hand with Palestine Refugees,¡±?is a campaign that?underscores Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA¡¯s commitment to stay alongside Palestine Refugees despite major funding shortfalls, severe restrictions on aid access?in?the occupied Palestinian territory?and?acute?attempts?to discredit the Agency using?disinformation.?At the heart of the campaign is the message ¡°Your Zakat Keep us here¡±,?highlighting the enabling role of individuals, foundations and the private sector?when choosing to donate their Zakat to the Agency.
¡±Families?in Gaza?are?facing?their third?consecutive Ramadan displaced, exposed,?and reliant on aid.?Donors from around the world continuously approach Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA to ask how they can help, and their generous contributions, including through?Zakat and Sadaqah?have enabled many of services to Palestinians in dire need to continue,¡±?said Tamara Alrifai, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA¡¯s Director of External Relations and Communications.
For?over?75 years,?Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA has supported Palestine Refugees through healthcare?and?education?services, food, water and cash?assistance,?and?other?emergency support. In times of war and displacement, families?rely even more?on Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA.
This Ramadan,?through Zakat,?we aim to reach?thousands?of families with emergency cash?assistance?in Gaza and food and cash assistance in?the West?Bank including East Jerusalem,?as well as in?Lebanon,?Syria and?Jordan.?100%t?of all Zakat donations are delivered directly to eligible Palestine Refugees, with no administrative deductions, in full compliance with Islamic principles.
As part of the campaign, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA has also released its?,?highlighting how donors¡¯ Zakat and Sadaqah supported Palestine Refugee families?across 2025?through food assistance, cash support and essential services. The report reinforces Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA¡¯s accountability?and transparency in managing Islamic charitable giving.
¡°Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion and sharing.??Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA warmly invites donors to be part of this Ramadan campaign and help ensure that?Palestine Refugee families receive food, cash assistance and?vital?services?in a dignified way, through the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Agency mandated to protect and assist them.?This Ramadan, we?remain?hand in hand with Palestine?Refugees¡±?said Alrifai.
