“The arson attacks by Israeli settlers on mosques in Jiljilya and Mazar’ al-Nubani, near Ramallah, are unacceptable and must be condemned by all. Religious sites must never be targets of violence. Worshippers must not be subjected to any form of intimidation. These attacks follow a series of recent incidents targeting mosques and Palestinian communities in the West Bank amid a worrying escalation of violence that must be urgently halted. Such acts threaten the fabric of communities and risk further inflaming tensions. Accountability for perpetrators is essential to prevent further escalation.”
