SUMMARY:Palestinian Rights Committee meeting - 15 February 2019
DESCRIPTION:At 10:00 a.m.\, in the ECOSOC Chamber\, the 394th meeting of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People will take place to elect its Bureau and adopt the 2019 Programme of work. SUMMARY:Briefing for Permanent Missions on Committee mandate and programme of work
DESCRIPTION:On 26 February\, the Division for Palestinian Rights held its annual “Briefing session for Delegates” to familiarize representatives of the Permanent Missions with the mandate of the Committee and its programme of work\, implemented by the Division. Twenty participants attended\, including six members of the Security Council. In the interactive session following remarks by the Chair\, questions focused on the Committee’s capacity-building programme\, including within the context of the South-South and triangular cooperation framework\, delegation visits and impact assessment of the Committee’s work and activities. \n
