The Meeting¡¯s goal was to provide a forum for exchanging views on the current state of the peace process, and for discussing how to advance the Palestinian State-building agenda. Among other things, the Meeting looked at: lessons learned from previous negotiations and other conflict situations; the role of third-party mediation; Jerusalem as a key to Israeli-Palestinian peace; the Palestinian Authority programme of ending the occupation and establishing the Palestinian State; and the building of an international consensus for establishing a Palestinian State on the basis of the pre-1967 borders. It was held at the Sheraton Hotel Istanbul Atak?y.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People hosted Dr. Hanan Ashrawi, Member of the Executive Committee of the PLO, for an interactive briefing on the margins of the 61st. Session of the Commission on the Status of Women. The briefing was moderated by Prof. Anne-Marie Goetz from NYU’s Center for Global Affairs and took place on 17 March 2017 in the Trusteeship Council Chamber of the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
