Therefore, the project will create an enabling environment for consensus-oriented policy making, increased ownership of anti-corruption policies and create ground for an effective implementation mechanism.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">H.E. Rafeeq Al-Natsheh, Head of the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission emphasized the Palestinian National Authority&#8217;s commitment to fight corruption and highlighted the strategic efforts made by different institutions be them government, civil society, private sector and international organizations. In addition, H.E. Al-Natsheh thanked Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDP and EUPOL COPPS for their efforts in fighting corruption and indicated that the Anti-Corruption Commission is working very hard to permanently end corruption in the Palestinian society and become a model to be followed regionally.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8220;While it is imperative to develop institutional capacities, it is equally important to raise community awareness and build public trust,&#8221; said Frode Mauring, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDP Special Representative of the Administrator. &#8220;We are proud to be supporting this initiative as anti-corruption work is core to the state building process. Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDP will draw on its extensive experience and network to strengthen cooperation and promote collective action against corruption,&#8221; he added.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">EUPOL COPPS&#39; Head of Mission, Kenneth Deane, welcomed today&#8217;s donation as part of the overall efforts to continue assisting the Palestinian Authority in the rule of law&#8217;s consolidation including the fight against corruption. &#8220;Such measures to tackle corruption are key elements of an integrated anti-corruption policy that answers the expectations of citizens and we will continue to assist the PACC in this regard&#8221;, he said.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The signing ceremony, which took place on 30 August 2012 in Ramallah, was attended by H.E.
