It was presented to Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF in Jerusalem today by Ambassador Jun Yokota.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Verdana, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&quot;We are grateful to the Japanese Government for its continued support of children in oPt,&#8221; said Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF Special Representative Dan Rohrmann. &#8220;These funds will go a long way toward protecting already vulnerable children from preventable sickness and death.&#8221; <\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Verdana, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The Palestinian health system is suffering from a serious funding crisis that is jeopardizing the delivery of basic services. &#8220;In this extremely challenging context, the Japanese support is critical to maintaining the routine, basic health services that keep children alive and thriving,&#8221; Rohrmann said. <\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Verdana, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">At the global level, Japan remains one of the largest contributors to Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF.
