04.07.2012 – Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵDP, in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Affairs, opened a workshop to discuss the Draft components of the environmental management plan under the capacity building project.<\/strong> The project, funded by the Swedish Development Agency for the amount of SEK 4.8 million and implemented by Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵDP in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Environmental Affairs (MENA), will strengthen the Ministry’s regulatory role and enhance its capacity through the development of regulations, guidelines, and monitoring and inspection systems. Ms Yasmine Sherif, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵDP Deputy Special Representative of the Administrator, highlighted Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵDP commitment to support the Palestinian Authority’s responsiveness towards environmental sustainability and the achievement of a green economy.
