Polish Government Contributes $50,000 to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

On Thursday 26th October, Mr Piotr Puchta, the Representative of the Government of Poland to the Palestinian Authority, presented a cheque for $50,000 to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA’s Deputy Commissioner-General, Filippo Grandi, as Poland's contribution to the Agency’s General Fund for 2006.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Poland became a donor to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA in 2002 and this year has increased its contribution by 150% in the context of an overall major increase in assistance to the occupied Palestinian territory. This development marks an important milestone in relations between Poland and Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA and another step forward in the Agency's efforts to broaden its donor base through increased contributions from newer donor states.<\/p><\/div>\n
