Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA Spanish Committee to hold World Refugee Day Gaza Solidarity Concert in Madrid<\/p><\/div>\n

The Spanish Committee for the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWAce) will hold a <\/span>benefit concert<\/u><\/a> in solidarity with the Palestine refugee children of the Gaza Strip on 20 June – World Refugee Day.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

All proceeds from the concert will support the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Agency’s work in Gaza, as the Israeli blockade of the coastal strip enters its sixth year. <\/p>\n

Joining forces on stage at the 800-person capacity Sala Arena in Madrid will be renowned singer-songwriters Ismael Serrano, Pedro Guerra, Carlos Chaouen, Marwan, Luis Ramiro, Andrés Suárez, Lucas, and Sheila Blanco. All artists will perform for free.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Ticket-holders will be treated to performances including last year’s '<\/span>Luces Errantes<\/u><\/a>' (Stray Lights), a joint project by Ismael Serrano and Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWAce featuring students from the prestigious Edward Said National Conservatory in Ramallah. The benefits of that song have contributed towards improving the situation of thousands of children in Gaza.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Today, Palestinian refugees represent one-third of the world's refugees: among them, the child population is the most vulnerable.<\/p><\/div>\n
