New York, 22 September 2011 – Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with H.E. Mr. Barack H. Obama, President of the United States of America, on the margins of the 66th General Assembly<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

The Secretary-General and President Obama discussed yesterday, 21 September 2011, current developments in the Middle East and North Africa, notably the Middle East peace process, Libya and Syria. The Secretary-General thanked the President for his support to peacekeeping operations around the world and encouraged ongoing support.
