Belgian Minister for Development Corporation pledges support for Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

The Belgian Minister for Development Cooperation, Mr. Charles Michel, visited Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA services in Jalazoune camp on Wednesday 05 March. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA medical staff briefed him on the regular and emergency health activities of the Agency. He also visited the Palestine Child Center , which is supported by the Government of Belgium , and engaged in discussions with young pupils at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA's Girls school. <\/p><\/div>\n

Minister Michel stated: "My presence in the oPt is to convey the message that in Belgium there is a strong concern vis a vis the hardship faced by Palestinian refugees, and the will to improve their living conditions" <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA senior staff shared their concerns with Michel on the tragic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip , as well as the increasing economic distress of Palestine refugees in the West Bank due to acute restriction of movement and access. <\/p><\/div>\n
