The donation represents fundraising contributions made in 2003 in Japan by individuals, foundations, schools, corporations and not-for-profit organizations.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-top:4.5px;font-size:9pt;font-family:Verdana, san-serif;color:#000000;padding-bottom:4.5px;text-align:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF is supported entirely by voluntary contributions from the private sector and governments. For millions of people in the industrialized world, the face of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF is well-known thanks to the dedicated work of the 37 National Committees for Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF. They oversee fundraising efforts in each of their respective countries and play a significant role in advocacy efforts.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-top:4.5px;font-size:9pt;font-family:Verdana, san-serif;color:#000000;padding-bottom:4.5px;text-align:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">Bellamy commended Mr. Togo for sustaining successful advocacy and fundraising activities for Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF in Japan, which has led to Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF being one of the best known not-for-profit organizations in the country. <\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-top:4.5px;font-size:9pt;font-family:Verdana, san-serif;color:#000000;padding-bottom:4.5px;text-align:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The committee&#8217;s contribution to Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF has increased dramatically over the last ten years, with annual increases of 10 to 15 per cent.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-top:4.5px;font-size:9pt;font-family:Verdana, san-serif;color:#000000;padding-bottom:4.5px;text-align:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">In addition to raising awareness of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµICEF&#8217;s work on behalf of children around the world, the Japan Committee has for the last decade also focused on child protection issues.
