The Human Rights Council in its midday meeting started its general debate on human rights situations that require the Council’s attention, during which speakers raised allegations of human rights violations in countries and regions around the world and reiterated the Council’s responsibility to address all situations of concern. <\/p><\/div>\n

Slovakia<\/u><\/span>, speaking on behalf of the <\/span>European Union<\/u><\/span>, was also concerned about reports of human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.<\/span>
