THE SECURITY COÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵCIL IS SEIZED AND OF THE STAGE REACHED<\/p><\/div>\n

IN THEIR CONSIDERATION<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Pursuant to rule 11 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, I submit the following summary statement of matters of which the Security Council is seized and of the stage reached in their consideration on 12 March 1949. <\/p><\/div>\n

12.\t<\/span><\/span>The Palestine question (see also <\/u><\/span>S\/1273<\/u><\/a> and S\/1279)<\/u><\/span>.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>By cablegram dated 11 March 1949 (<\/span>S\/1284<\/a>) the Acting Mediator informed the Security Council that Israel and Transjordan signed a General Cease Fire Agreement on 11 March at Rhodes.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>During the period 5 to 12 March 1949, the following documents were distributed to the Council:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t(a)\t<\/span>Corrigendum to Cablegram dated 23 February 1949 from the Acting Mediator to the Secretary-General transmitting the text of an Armistice Agreement between Egypt and Israel. (<\/span>S\/1264\/Corr.1<\/a><\/a>)<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t(b)\t<\/span>Corrigendum to Addendum to Cablegram dated 23 February 1949 from the Acting Mediator to the Secretary-General transmitting the text of an Armistice Agreement between Egypt and Israel. (S\/1264\/Add.1\/Corr.1)\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t(c)\t<\/span>Cablegram dated 11 March 1949 from the Acting Mediator for Palestine to the President of the Security Council concerning Alleged Military Operations by Israeli forces in the Southern Negev. (<\/span>S\/1285<\/a>)<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
