ADDRESSED TO THE SECRETARY-GENERAL CONCERNING ALLEGED VIOLATION BY <\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>"IN THE MORNING OF 23 SEPTEMBER 1948 A TRANSJORDAN CIVIL PLANE WHILE MAKING ITS USUAL FLIGHT BETWEEN BEIRUT AND AMMAN WAS CHASE BY A JEWISH FIGHTER WHICH PURSUED IT 30 KILOMETERS WITHIN THE TRANSJORDAN TERRITORY OPENING FIRE AT IT Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵTIL IT WAS SET ON FIRE AND FINALLY DROPPED. CONSEQUENTLY THREE OF THE CIVIL PASSENGERS WERE KILLED AND THE OTHER TWO WERE SERIOUSLY INJURED. THE TRANSJORDAN GOVERNMENT CONSIDERS THIS ACTION A BARBARIC CRIME AGAINST CIVILIANS WHO HAVE NO CONNECTION WITH THE PRESENT SITUATION. TWO OF THE CASUALTIES ARE FOREIGNERS. THE TRANSJORDAN GOVERNMENT FURTHER CONSIDERS THIS ACTION  OVER A TRANSJORDAN TERRITORY A SERIOUS BREACH OF THE TRUCE ON THE PART OF THE JEWS. FOR YOUR INFORMATION WE AWAIT IMMEDIATE NECESSARY ACTION"<\/p><\/div>\n
